Intempestivus!

Right, so, I'm on the bed, surrounded by a bunch of physics papers, calculator in hand-
Figuring out how I answered without looking at the handouts.
Well, we all know how boring that is, and my mind ended up wandering and I looked at my desk and saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince standing there next to a bunch of other books.

Then I looked down at my Physics stuff and back at the book, and the wheels in my head went in one direction: Science and Technology vs Witchcraft and Wizardry.

BOOM

Who hasn't heard of that one before?
I'll be damned if there's someone out there who hasn't.
=I'm kidding, I don't want to be damned.=

Anyways, with that thought in mind, I started to layout the differences, and I realized something.
In the wonderful fictional world of Harry Potter, we have all these awesome spells that do things for us. And in that same world, the witches and wizards had no idea on how to live without their magic.

Nya~

And so, I compared.
Here, in this terrible reality called life, we too, have things we cannot seem to live without, and all are mostly things called technology.

Now, if you find the similarities, you'll find that both magic and technology do things for us.

Don't get me wrong, shouting Expelliarmus! to tear a wand outta some other guy's hand is pretty cool, imagine the win if we could do that to guns, but it always ends with the hero tackling the guy. So in the end, it's kind of pointless.

What I'm trying to say is: Both magic and technology seem to enable people better access to whatever they want.

Flying cars to airplanes.
House elves to normal help.
Magical wands to remote controls!

Magic was most probably 'banned' by God b/c it made the people lazy, promoting the sin of Sloth.
But then, doesn't this raise the question: Should technology be considered a sin too?

Yeah. Maybe.
People use cars, buses, and bicycles instead of walking. Resorted to phone calls and texts instead of letters. Instant noodle soup to genuine ramen!

Maybe... Maybe it IS a sin!

But try and take this laptop away from me.
I DARE YOU.

=No, I do not want to debate about this.=

Better Day

Okay, so...
Nothing really bad seemed to have happened as of late, in fact, it has been a relatively boring day.

But I guess that, for some, it's a good thing.

So, I'm just say that despite the fact that it's still raining... I happen to find comfort in the sounds.

=^w^=

Good night!

Frikkin' Kiko!

That is the name of the monsoon that's been making me angry recently. Kiko.
A cute name, right?
Something you'd give to a dog, a Chihuahua- You buy two, name one Taco and the other Kiko. A Hispanic Japanese duo that make you giggle because they sound cute together.

AGAIN!
THERE IS NO SCHOOL TODAY!

And I would normally be rejoicing-
But, I'm not. And for good reason.

The stress and effort I had placed in my work yesterday is now wasted.

"Aw, don't get stressed out!" Optimism says,
"
Now you have the time to review and fix possible mistakes!"

To which Irony replies, "Procrastinate today and be shocked tomorrow-
I should have told you that yesterday."

I won't even go near the Pessimist.
Or, you know what? I will. Might as well listen to all sides of the board.

"And just wait, once you're all back and curled up in bed,
your phone gets flooded with angry messages stating that
the DepEd has decided to continue classes because they think we've had too long a holiday."
intones Pessimism.

If the text in red is right... Imma wreck a rage that'll be worse than frickin' Katrina.

Git the Dayum Thing DONE!

Ghad!

I don't know what it is with people and doing everything last minute!

I'm the assistant editor in my school's English newspaper, and it isn't until NOW that they start submitting their articles to me-

And the thing is, they don't understand that I'm just the person that CHECKS the articles for mistakes while critiquing them- I don't care if they're new at this -- They aren't supposed to give me their final draft!!!

C'MON!

And that isn't all.
No.

There's also a Thesis write up due tomorrow, and I feel like I'm the only one actually DOING ANYTHING! One person, I can understand, since the monsoon totally blew out their net connection- but the OTHER person I'm working with is completely... ARGH!

Really, is it so hard to copy and paste the links to our references? To build a Table of Contents? You don't even really need to THINK for that!

My clock says 10:37, my phone says 10:47, and my computer tells me it's 10:32.
I don't know what time the frikkin blog is going to say.

The rainin' is roaring like my mood, and dammit-!

I wanna throw some kind of hard object at someone!
Why?!

Because there might be that sliver of a chance that we won't have classes again tomorrow because of the friggin' monsoon!!

Shut it, your mother said no.

~ Listenin' to What's My Age Again - in playlist
~ Just finished reading an essay of brilliance, Advice to Writers, because without a doubt-
=even though I didn't read the entirety of it, though I understood that concept and sit in awe of it =
- it gives us all an eye-opener that also grants a smile. READ IT!

=^w^=

As of now, I don't think the monsoon that, as of current, plagued the city has any intention of dying down, and this is making me wonder if it's a good or a bad thing.

Now, very recently, I've received a variety of text messages, IM's, and e-mails-
= of course I have, who doesn't?=
- and though I don't mind the occasional 'Hai, Hai, Hello!' I DO mind when all I read about are accusations and stunts that:

a) happened last month
b) are about why I don't want to buzz back
or
c) on why I don't have the credits to text back at the moment.

Please, people, avoid such annoying issues that make others think you're a waste of time, it's shit, and you know it.

Pardon my French.

In regards to my blog title, this is a story related to receiving something via IM.

It starts with me being an American grown girl in an Asian country filled with curious boys that want to know what it's like to date someone that doesn't act their everyday neighbor/ classmate/ chaser.

At first, when we meet, it's all cool, swapping 'Hi's', nil info on each other, funny incidents and stories, and Mister New Guy decides to click and asked for my number.

I give him my e-mail instead.

Which thus leads me into a trap will and stone.

He wants to know more about me, talks about personal stuff, asks me out. He doesn't want to accept the fact that I'm not interested in him as he is to me.
He sets a date.
It sounded like a marriage proposal.

I called his mother.

And for three hours since I did it, he hasn't done nor said zip.

So help me, I'm feeling a bit torn at this moment:
Should I feel relieved now that one more insolent flea is out of my hair?
Or was I just too harsh on the guy that just wants some love?

I'm telling myself to stuff it.
It's life.
I'm a single and free girl, deal with it.

=^w^=

Man, it rocks knowing that women still have the upper hand in families with boys.

Till My Next Post~

~ Now listenin' to Love Stoned

Startin' Off...

Right, so formally, a person would be all-

"Hai! Pretty obvious I'm new here, hence all the n00bness around, but it'll all..."
Blah, bleh, blech!

No. I'm not gonna do that.

==

So, what's been goin' on?

How about wakin' up at 5:30 am in the mornin' just to find out, once you're half dressed for school, that classes are canceled due to a monsoon?!

It ticked me off for a second.
The next second- I went right back to bed.

But I think I've gone off better than some, as a few others missed the memo and went to school, a number were already dressed, and then there were those who just flat out went nuts because they stayed up until 3 AM to finish their assignment that was due to today, only to find out that-

BAM!
No classes.

Now, this then makes me think:
What if we had our exams today? (They're next week...)

Do you have any idea as to how awesome that would've been??
But, today off is nice too, considering Mrs. President Cory Aquino had her burial yesterday-

A pause for respect...

- and was considered a holiday, so students weren't allowed to go to class, boom boom~!
And with today off too... Well, that just means more rest and fun time, doesn't it?

=^w^=

And now that's one rant done.

This is my other one~

FreeWebs SUCK!

No, no, c'mon I'm not complaining because I don't know how to use it- I. KNOW. HOW. TO. USE. IT. - but the thing was that every time I try to write up on the blog, this comes up:

And it stays like that!

BlogSpot is my remedy.

And no, I feel no remorse at having BlogSpot a mere replacement (seeing as I didn't make an account here b/c I thought the site was cool, or pretty, or popular-) and if I get kicked off because of it-

Geez, and I thought the people on YouTube and MySpace were touchy.

That's it for now =
